In February 2022 I had the pleasure of working with the wonderful Steph on a lifestyle and branding shoot. This was something a little different for me and I absolutely loved capturing all aspects of Steph’s life and brand. I’ve known Steph for a long time after we became friends back in our college days, since then she has grown a business, created a wonderful life for herself and is one of the most driven people I have ever met.

It was important to capture the different aspects of Steph’s life as this was a lifestyle and branding shoot, we not only focused on her business as a bridal seamstress but on her spirituality, her princess pooch and sidekick Bella and the personal development and entrepreneurial side of Steph’s life. Maybe it would be better to describe this as a celebration of Steph’s identity and everything that makes her the amazing woman she is.

We had fun with this shoot as Bella (Steph’s spaniel) is quite the poser and very much enjoyed being in front of the camera. In my work I love capturing the real life reactions and organic emotions and I think pets & children help with that, quite often the moments when clients don’t realise you’re clicking away catch the best natural images.

I also like to capture images of what is around me during a shoot not just the client, especially when doing a lifestyle/branding shoot it was great to be able to get some images of Steph’s interior design style, burning sage, tarot cards and personal development books as all of these things contribute to Steph’s identity.

This was such a great shoot and we had a lot of fun creating these images, I look forward to more branding shoots with Steph as her business grows and develops.
